Our "Working" Boy
Mr. T is ready to go to work with Daddy today! And Daddy hooked him up with all the gear for the job (aka: from his job). Like Father like Son. :)

The way I see it...
...can be very different if I change my perspective.
(Inspired by another blog I follow: http://ashleyannphotography.com/blog/2011/02/21/signs-of-life-depends-on-how-i-look-at-it/)
*Do I have to do laundry again today? vs. I'm thankful that we all have enough clothes and towels to keep us warm and dry.
*Seriously, another toy found under something? vs. Mr. T has more than enough to play with and has been showered with love.
*Dang, we didn't eat the bananas soon enough. vs. Banana Bread, baby!
*Going crazy cause my son is at my feet again when I'm trying to cook. vs. Mr. T loves being close and wants to be like mama (to the point where he'll put his spoon on the stove and try to stir.) :)
*25 minute breakfasts with my husband are just not enough. vs. I get to spend these precious moments with my husband when I know others whose husbands are gone throughout the week or have to leave before everyone gets up.
*Really, this is the last time I want to step on a pea! vs. I'm thankful that Mr. T has enough to eat, and one pea on the floor is not going to kill anyone. And that Mr. T enjoys eating almost everything offered to him.
Hopefully my perspective is more on the right side of these equations. I have so much to be grateful for...sometimes it just seems I have to look at my situation differently. :)

A must see!
Family Photos!
http://www.alaunapetersonphotography.com/2011/03/family-eric-kristine-timothy.html
We cannot say enough thanks to our wonderful friend Alauna who took pictures of our family. She was great with our uncooperative boy. She let him discover the camera and roam around our house until he was comfortable. She found perfect places to take fantabulous pictures. And she captured pictures of my husband and I that haven't really been done since our wedding. Thanks to Alauna!
You can check out more about Alauna at http://www.alaunapetersonphotography.com/.

Taking over the world...
One step at a time. Mr. T is off and walking like nobody's business! Two weeks after his first birthday, he just decided it was time for him to join his cousin (a day older than him) and walk with her. :) Lots of wobbling and tumbling and transferring from crawling to full-on walking. He's a champ. What can I say! :)
With walking brings many future days seen at the park. Which note to self and other moms with small children, khakis are not the "primo primo" for the park. :) And now, I let him walk to the car with a hand to mama. Of course if he sees a dog or car, he has to stop and babble about each. He even says what sounds like dog. (I know, I think my kid is a super star.) He loves pointing at lights and fans and particularly the "open door" light on the dash when we get in the car. He's growing faster than I can imagine and 18-24mo are becoming more snug or too short.
Thanks to great friends who gave us a date night yesterday! It's amazing how much I appreciate only feeding myself and purely adult conversation at dinner. And I loved the stud I was with, if I might say so myself. :)
So, a small update and A Happy St. Patrick's Day to you!

Crazy Dream
Once I told this dream to my husband, he said, "It's a good thing you didn't have that dream when you were pregnant." And I would have to agree.
In my dream, I was pregnant and having contractions. This did not seem like something that was a surprise, and I headed to the hospital (which had a similar look to my alma mater). As I went to check in triage, the counter looked like the dmv and the worker and I got into a huge fight! Somehow I was admitted, and many of our family members joined us in the delivery room. Then, a male family member (who I remember being my father-in-law but looking nothing like him in real life) told me how strange it was that I was delivering seven weeks early. Seven weeks?! No no no. I wasn't going to have my baby then. I told everyone that we were leaving and I wasn't going to have my baby that early. It was too soon. I was saying this all despite the fact that I was having 3min. apart contractions. I was set on the fact that I was not going to have the baby that was obviously going to come.
Needless to say, I don't know if I had my "dream" baby. But what I do know is that that dream kept me tossing and turning all night. I felt exhausted. And I'm not even pregnant, so it's not like I should have these crazy dreams.
But I guess that's what they are...just crazy. :)

The "Send" Button
The "send" button is sometimes a scary thing. I think, "What have I just done?" Or, "Did I say everything I meant to say? Was I eloquent? Did I forget something?"
Oh well. You hit the "send" and there's no turning back. And honestly, until there's a response, you go on with your life as normal.
So, what's been the norm around here lately? As Mr. T's mama, I would love if all his teeth would come in at once so that we didn't have to go through this roller coaster of him feeling bad and sleeping bad, which inevitably turns into us feeling crazy and sleeping poorly. It's only a phase...I know.
There's also the norm of crawling through tunnels, knocking over blocks, eating the Mega Blocks, playdates, and for me - lots of coffee enjoyment and watching the Ford Focus Rally on hulu. (Imagine Amazing Race in the US, but you win a Ford Focus and $100,000.)
****
On a much more serious note, could you please be praying for my friend's baby, Claire? She's been in the hospital for the last couple days with Phenomena. Without going into a bunch, there's a lot of waiting and seeing what the doctors say daily. I know they'd love for her to just feel better. I'd love for her to feel better. Thanks friends.
Sending our love.
